This delightful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel was created in pastel from a photo donated by Kerli Toode through the Facebook group «Photos for Artists» I loved the cheeky expression and could imagine his eyes following me around the room as he waited for his walk (or dinner! )
«Watching and waiting» iis completed using soft pastels and pastel pencils on Clairefontaine pastelmat. The sharpened pencils create the detail and the background is blended using polystyrene sticks to give the three dimensional effect to the completed painting.
