St. Peter's Basilica is an Italian Renaissance church in Vatican City, the papal enclave within the city of Rome. St. Peter's is the most renowned work of Renaissance architecture and the largest church in the world. I chose to depict its splendor and majesty at dusk because of it's impact to one's senses.
The Grand Canal is lined up with a lot of buildings and many different passage ways around the city. Many tourists take advantage of the romantic transport, with a gondola ride along the canal, Unfortunately when I visited there was a storm and I remember this gondola fighting against the natural force of the water. This scene left a lasting memory in my mind.
