Snowdon is famous for being the highest peak in Wales and of course, its amazing mountain railway. At the summit, the views across Snowdonia are staggeringly beautiful and you can clearly see Anglesey on a fine day.
On this particular climb the cloud cover (which came and went with every second breath) provided a splendid backdrop for the climber’s picnic, where they all appeared to be enjoying a well earned rest. What nicely sums up life at the top on this wonderful day is the deep contrast between the colourful sunlit climbers and those in the background, which appear as ghostly figures as they fade into the distance. The myriad of colours is this particular scene is quite astounding, especially when you consider the location and whether conditions.
