This is an original oil painting on canvas board.
A modern impressionistic landscape of lavender fields in Provence, with purple, violet, and greenish colors. The painting was made with dynamic, expressive brushwork and thick impasto layers. I applied the base color layer with oil paint diluted with turpentine, and then the top layers of thick paint were applied with a brush and a palette knife. Using the palette knife I formed a rhythmic texture in the artwork's foreground, showing the structure and tangle of the field's plants. I used complementary colors next to each other so that they highlight each other. The entire foreground is similar to a carpet made of abstract color shapes. Size: - 200×200Mm, depth: 3 mm Materials: - Canvas board (cotton canvas mounted on fibreboard) - Oil paint - Protective varnish The painting is signed on the front, and on the backside. *The original painting may differ slightly in color from the image you see on your screen, because of the differences in color management settings on computers.
